Take, for example, ChannelCon. This is a multi-day event that is 100 percent unfiltered and uneducated to the IT channel. It's great, too, with items that fit the biggest problems facing the canal. Unlike almost every other industry events, vendors charge CompTIA nothing to display at the fair. The show is funded almost entirely by the coffers of CompTIA, except for a very nominal fee for participants. No sponsorship available. Because the event is not held by sponsors, there is a relaxed air you breathe in the sessions. All speakers, including salespeople, talk about improving industry not affect their own sales.
