Techtonic Partners With CompTIA’s Foundation

Techtonic partners with CompTIA’s foundation to expand tech job opportunities

Tectonics Academy, a division of Tecktonik Group, based in Boulder, has been associated with the creation of the IT Futures Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the information technology trade association CompTIA, to provide training and learning development software for entry level that otherwise can not access it.

The 13-year-old tectonic Group has been on this mission for about a year and a half, said Heather Terenzio, its co-founder and CEO, "but this partnership will help us develop."

Collaboration with the foundation based in Downers Grove, Illinois, will enable both groups to reach more people and businesses throughout the country. Creating IT Futures traditionally focuses on the sector of equipment and services in the IT field and now be able to expand their training programs and career in the field of software development.

"Everyone talks of more women and minorities in technology, but nobody did much about it," said Terenzio. "There are a lot of universities, community colleges and training camps around, but unless you had $ 40,000 to enter one would be very unrealistic. We are committed to recruiting people who never had much of a shot."

Instead of charging them to the formation, tectonic pay.

"Our training program is six months, and we pay people to be on it," said Terenzio. "They start at $ 15 per hour. Side programming is watched by side with experienced developers who explain what they do as they do. The learning program is six months, and at the end of six months they invite to be full-time employees and pay them the market rate for software developers with experience. About 80 percent of our students join us. "

Factory tectonic 1900 Folsom St. in Boulder even includes a full kitchen equipment to provide healthy meals for their 20 employees, he said, half of which they are part of the learning program.

"We are very pleased to partner with the Creating IT Futures Foundation because they share our passion for providing marginalized populations, young adults and veterans with new, prosperous career opportunities in the industry's boom open technology," said Terenzio. "When a company decides to work with tectonic Group myriad of other options for outsourcing, they know they're getting quality commercial quality products while helping to enter the field of ancient technology veterans and youth opportunity."

"More than 1 million IT jobs are open in the US, with 60 percent of jobs in the service / hardware industry and the other 40 percent in software development," he said Charles Eaton, CEO of its eventual creation. "Our foundation focuses primarily on the training facilities and hardware side staffing and technology of IT jobs, and it is exciting to work with tectonics, software development and coaching staff. Together we can unite our efforts and expand the workforce of technology across the spectrum of IT professions. "

Terenzio said creating IT Futures "application will pre-workout for us -.. We are working languages, soft skills will work together in grants from the Ministry of Labour and other sources to build this in a much bigger way they have 60,000 members, so the more work you have, the more people can rent.

"Both work outside India, where we could keep these jobs here," he said. "We can get other companies to buy in our mission and what we're trying to do, and if you need more services that can come to us -. If we can change life"
